Role: Grounds Maintenance Team Leader
Location: Bengal Street Depot, Chorley
Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Permanent
Salary: £30,559 - £32,654

We’re looking for a Team Leader to join our Chorley based Streetscene team. In this role, you’ll be leading your team to make a difference within Chorley’s community spaces, parks and streets. You’ll be ensuring that they’re in perfect condition for Chorley’s residents and visitors to the area.
What you’ll be getting up to
1. You will provide effective supervision to individual teams to ensure high performance, incorporating the efficient utilisation of digital systems and adhering to and positively promoting efficiency and health & safety at work.
2. Working with the Grounds Maintenance Manager to drive changes and implement service improvements.
3. You’ll be helping keep community spaces looking their best, so we’re looking for someone who can really take some pride in their work.
Who we’re looking for
1. Knowledge and experience of risk assessing in a dynamic working environment, and of establishing, implementing, and following safe working methods.
2. Experience of leading operational teams.
3. Experience in operating light plants, including ride-on mowers, mini tractors, tractors etc. and general horticultural knowledge such as shrub maintenance, landscaping works, seasonal bedding and turf care.
4. Excellent planning and organization skills.
5. Willingness to work flexibly across Streetscene Services.
6. Experience and knowledge in using Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel and Outlook) and digital systems for monitoring and recording scheduled work.
7. Work across teams in a positive and constructive manner to achieve results.
Other Requirements
1. This role requires you to regularly use a vehicle therefore you must possess a valid UK Driving Licence.
