This is a varied and interesting role, where you will be involved in the combination of managing the reception area, forwarding queries from the urgent telephone line and supporting our clinical staff with administrative duties. For a general overview about the Riverside Clinic which is based on James Street West, inBath click here Main duties of the job To provide a reception service to include: Meeting and greeting all patients and visitors to the department in a friendly, sensitive and non-judgemental manner. Making new and follow up appointments and rearranging as necessary both face-to-face and over the telephone. Registering patients and inputting patients' details on computer. Scanning registration forms Giving appropriate clinic information to patients when attending appointments. Confirming patient details are correct and updated as required. Answering the telephone, booking patient appointments, taking and relaying messages to the appropriate person. Dealing with difficult patients at reception or on the telephone by adopting a calm and tactful manner. Ensuring any complaints or compliments are documented appropriately and referred to the line manager. Managing incoming post appropriately. Liaising with offsite IT Technical Support in the event of a computer malfunction. Informing patients of negative results if they phone requesting them. Maintaining a clean and tidy reception area.
