Embedded in HPS, Honeywell Process Measurement & Control provides total metering solutions for the gas industry, focusing on BioGas and Renewables, supporting the HON Breakthrough Initiative on Net Zero.
For our facility in Essen, Belgium, we are looking for a Project Manager.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing jobs awarded to the company, providing support and direction to engineering, sourcing, and subcontractors to ensure timely deliveries to customers within allocated schedules, budgets, and customer satisfaction. This role includes project-related administrative tasks, customer interface, and serves as the primary link between the customer and forecasting, planning, risk identification, change management, inventory listing, billing, and payment collection action owners.
Core duties include subcontract scope work allocation, progress tracking, application for payment management, engineering coordination, task management, and project planning for assigned activities. Additionally, this role manages the assigned technical workforce and ensures customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
1. Accountable for executing project orders and ensuring performance improvement on customer satisfaction, cycle time improvement, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and minimizing working capital requirements without compromising deliverable compliance to customer specifications.
2. Prepare and own project plans, schedules, track allocated budgets, documentation compliance, and on-time delivery of projects.
3. Promote teamwork and lead assigned cross-functional teams.
4. Promote total project ownership culture from sales handover to completion.
5. Plan and monitor project-related resources.
6. Supervise subcontract labor (office) and services.
7. Assist as necessary for off-site activities (e.g., handover/kick-off meetings, inspection, installation, commissioning, servicing, etc.) with clients and suppliers.
8. Provide training for clients and staff when requested.
9. Engage daily with customers, project team members, sales and marketing, project operations, factories, and management to ensure excellence in delivery and overall project performance.
10. Contribute towards continuous improvement of project planning and execution processes, including alignment to business directives and target goals.
11. Ensure adaptation of lessons learned from other projects and best practices in custody metering skid fabrication business.
12. Establish safe work practices and company policies, continuously improving site safety culture and meeting/exceeding all health, safety, and environment key performance metrics.
13. Deliver projects that meet all specification requirements on agreed schedules and allocated cost budgets.
14. Participate in progressive project review meetings with clients and ensure sharing of customer requirements and expectations on project deliverables.
15. Adhere to QMS and collaborate with the quality manager on deliverable quality.
16. Support during bid preparation.
ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
1. BS or BA degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the process control industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of flow measurement and regulating gases.
4. Preferably conversant with international, Belgium, and Dutch codes and standards for the gas industry.
5. Demonstrated leadership skills.
6. Ability to analyze complex problems and arrive at sound solutions.
7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
8. Language skills: fluent in Dutch and English; French and German appreciated.
