Ob Title: Operations Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum DOE ( Company vehicle + fuel card + Phone)
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week – Monday to Friday
Location:Dorchester, DOrset
About your new company:
My client, a national material handling sales and leasing company are currently looking for an operations manager in the Dorchester or surrounding areas to join their fast-growing team. Reporting directly to the managing directors, the successful candidate will oversee all operation of Sales and Service.
About your new Operations Managerrole:
- Overseeing personal progression of staff members
- liaising with all departments including Sales, Parts, Engineering, Human Resources, and rentals/leasing.
- Responsible for local customer service and local vendor/supplier relations.
- Guaranteeing a best-in-industry service for customers and clients
- Overseeing day-to-day branch operation
- Managing absence, rotas and holidays for the Depot and Mobile Service staff
- Responsible for the branch’s financial performance
- Conduct performance reviews for all members of the management team
- Overseeing health, safety, and risk management.
What the successful Operations Manager will need to succeed:
- A proven track record in a senior management position.
- Ideally have a background within the Material handling, Plant or Powered Access sales and/or rental industry.
- People management systems and processes
- Ability to consult and negotiate
- A proven track record of guiding a team to success
- A full, valid driving licence
- Ability to understand needs and pressures of clientele
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills
