The Role
The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for managing the activities and resources within the engineering team, ensuring that the team have the right skills and tools to deliver high quality engineering output.
The successful candidate will also liaise between the engineering team, product owners and programme delivery teams, ensuring that work is defined, scheduled and delivered in a predictable and controlled way.
Responsibilities:
Coordination of planning and work execution across engineering, ensuring clear lines of responsibility and managing inter-team dependencies.
Managing the assignment of resources to development teams, monitoring resource loading and forecasting future resource requirements.
Engaging directly with Product Owners, Programme Managers and other internal stakeholders as a representative for the engineering team in planning and organisational activities.
Together with the wider engineering management team, selecting and administering tools and software used in engineering development.
Managing the overall training budget and skills matrix for engineering.
Developing, documenting and monitoring adherence to engineering processes and procedures to ensure continued compliance with applicable quality standards.
Support Engineering teams with forward estimation activities where appropriate.
The Candidate
Strong people management skills
Experienced in managing multi disciplined teams
Project management experience taking a electronic or tech based product from cradle to grave
Experience on developing processes to ensure engineered solutions meet defined quality
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall engineering practices
Project management qualifications such as Prince 2 or APM is preferred

Offering up to £85,000 per annum plus a competitive benefits package. Relocation assistance is offered.
