The purpose of this Field Service Engineer is to support the technical needs of Philips Imaging customers and customer service partners. Would you like the challenge to work both individually and as part of a wider team to install, maintain, and repair our wide range of technologically advanced imaging equipment?
This position will be field-based in the South East area.
You are responsible for
1. Operating at an advanced technical level to provide expert advice & solutions to our customers and colleagues.
2. Providing field-based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues in line with relevant training and experience.
3. Carrying out corrective, preventative, installation, and field change order activities on complex healthcare systems.
4. Diagnosing mechanical, hardware, and software system failures using established procedures and information.
5. Determining the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime.
6. Actively participating in an ongoing rotation with the Field Service Engineer team, providing customers with direct remote support in a 5 by 7 working pattern.
You are a part of a regional team of collaborative Field Service Engineers who are expected to work to the highest standards to ensure first-class service is delivered to our customer base while ensuring Quality & Regulatory standards are adhered to in this heavily regulated industry.
You will be reporting directly to the District Service Delivery Manager.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
1. HNC (NVQ Level 3) or Degree in Electro-engineering or equivalent highly desirable.
2. Experienced logical problem solver with the ability to work independently.
3. Experienced in carrying out corrective and preventative works for Imaging Systems devices and equipment desirable.
4. The ability to process knowledge across multi-modality and diverse product ranges.
5. Recognize new technologies and adapt to daily challenges.
6. Deliver high levels of customer service.
7. Competent in IT/Network diagnosis/system connectivity/Remote service desirable.
8. You are currently living in the South East region, ideally around the South East (Kent area).
