We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to work on a hybrid basis, two/three days from our HQ in Coventry and the remainder working remotely from home.
We are looking for a qualified, proactive and driven Project Manager with extensive experience using a variety of project methodologies (including Agile). The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the successful management of AHDB’s complex and high-risk projects and programmes and to work across the organisation with any external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:
* Work with project sponsors and leads to initiate, understand and define complex, cross-functional projects and programmes, identifying proportionate project management controls and preparing documents for delivering projects/programmes.
* Monitor the progress of projects in terms of risk and to escalate any identified risks to the sponsor.
* Ensure projects are running to timeframes and identify/raise any areas of project slippage.
* Implement change control during the lifecycle of the project to ensure that objectives are still being met and the impact to scope, cost, risk and timeline are understood and agreed.
* Ensure the project team are compliant with AHDB governance and policies.
* Agree appropriate mechanisms to report progress of projects and programmes through written reports, presentations or project briefings.
* Ensure mechanisms are in place to report the progress of projects to stakeholders, internal and external, and prepare the organisation for project launch.
Qualifications:
* Extensive experience of managing complex cross-functional projects and programmes using a variety of methodologies, and hold a relevant project management qualification (APM, Agile, PRINCE2).
* Excellent planning, organisational, and facilitation skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects and programmes of work, meet deadlines, and achieve successful objectives, whilst understanding the needs of the stakeholders.
* Competent building appropriate project teams with clear deliverables, roles and responsibility.
* Ability to identify, monitor and mitigate project risks and issues.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills and be able to manage cross-functional conflict.
* Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy and able to work proactively and on own initiative, taking personal responsibility to meet the demands of the role and projects.
* Strong analytical, report writing and presentation skills.
* Proficient with project tools and technology.
