The role will be essential to the smooth operation of machinery and ensuring minimal downtime across the facility. As part of your responsibilities, you will conduct both planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and maintain various machinery, with a focus on conveyor systems and plant equipment. You’ll work to ensure that engineering standards are maintained, ensuring the highest level of reliability and performance across the factory. Main Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure optimal performance of equipment and plant. Respond quickly to breakdowns and faults, providing rapid solutions to maintain production. Fault-find, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems, machinery, and plant, using all engineering disciplines to minimize lost production time. Follow up on any faults identified during PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) tasks to ensure they're resolved efficiently. Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the effectiveness and reliability of the factory’s operations and associated systems. Assist specialist subcontractors with PPM and reactive maintenance work. Adhere to company quality assurance and site procedures in all tasks. Always follow Company and Site Health & Safety procedures. Maintain company-issued tools in a safe, serviceable manner. Take a proactive approach towards continuous improvement, supporting the business with a can-do attitude. Complete any other tasks requested by management to support site operations. Keep workstations tidy and well-maintained, ensuring a safe working environment. Candidate Requirements: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant experience. Strong experience working on compressed air and hydraulic systems. Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly to challenges. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. Ability to think independently and take the initiative when needed. Self-motivated, with a positive attitude toward continuous improvement.
