Customer Service Assistant (Job ref: BAR013)
Salary: £10,949.80 / £12 per hour (£23,151 FTE)
Hours: 17.5 per week (see working pattern below)
Location: Barnstaple Library
Closing date: 9am, Monday 25th November
Interview date: Monday, 2nd December at Barnstaple Library
Week 1
Mon: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4hrs)
Tue: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4hrs)
Thurs: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4hrs)
Fri: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4hrs)
Total: 16 hrs
Week 2
Mon: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4hrs)
Tue: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4hrs)
Thurs: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4hrs)
Sat: 9:00am – 5:00pm (8hrs, 1hr unpaid break)
Total: 19 hrs

You will play a key role in helping customers at every stage of their lives to get the most out of our services. It’s hands on and full of variety, with no two shifts ever being the same!
The successful candidate will deliver a friendly, proactive, and responsive frontline service, ensuring the best possible customer experience for all.
We are looking for someone with good digital skills and a love of reading who will enjoy working with people of all ages.
