Job Description:
With offices in the UK, USA and South Africa, we are a growing Travel Management Company specialising in the charity, academic and not-for-profit sectors.
As we expand our business in Europe, we are looking for a German-speaking Operations (Reservations) Team Manager. This is a hybrid or remote role (in the UK) to assist in the day-to-day running of the Operations Department. You will support a team of Business Travel Consultants, promoting our company values and culture. Primary responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring a constant focus on quality of service across the team and maintaining the highest customer service standards.
2. Managing teams to exceed targets through a coaching culture and supporting team development.
3. Acting as a first point of escalation for price matching, customer issues, or feedback, and investigating and resolving these before seeking opportunities to improve procedures.
4. Identifying training needs of team members and collaborating with L&D to provide necessary support.
5. Managing team workload to maximise productivity and achieve SLAs.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
2. Experience as a Team Manager / Team Leader / Assistant Team Manager in a fast-paced TMC / travel industry environment.
3. Good GDS knowledge; Amadeus/Galileo preferable but cross-training can be undertaken.
4. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
5. Strong experience with nett fares, including airpasses and RTW fares preferable.
6. Ability to plan current and future workloads.
7. A “lead by example” work ethic to drive first-class customer service.

1. Salary to £39k plus OTE bonus (on average of £4k; links to performance) per annum.
