We're looking for a skilled and qualified Tree Surgeon Team Leader to lead a team of two in maintaining and caring for trees, hedgerows, and green spaces across Weston-Super-Mare and Gloucestershire. What you'll be doing as a Tree Surgeon Team Leader Caring for trees and hedgerows - Planting, pruning, thinning, and felling trees safely and professionally. Making homes feel like home - Enhancing outdoor spaces that residents love. Problem-solving in nature - Tackling challenges like storm-damaged or hazardous trees. Using and maintaining specialist equipment - Chainsaws, chippers, shredders, and climbing gear. Collaborating and leading - Supporting a team of 2 and working together safely. Keeping things safe - Conducting site risk assessments and following regulations. What we're looking for: NPTC/Lantra qualifications: CS30 (201/202) - Chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting CS31 (203) and CS32 (301) - Felling trees CS40 (307) - Pruning NPTC - Chipper Operations Confidence in tree care, pruning, and climbing. Ability to use, clean, and maintain a range of hand and power tools. Extensive knowledge of trees, shrubs, and pruning techniques. Comfortable working at height - Confident and competent climbing ability. Full UK driving licence. A strong communicator and team player - Able to work well with others across teams and services. To be able to complete a basic DBS, which will be provided by Bromford.
