Transport Planner/Administrator
We are delighted to be working with a premium interior design business, looking to hire a transport planner to work out of their global head offices in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
The position is covering the later shift 12.00pm - 8:30pm - Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri, with 12.00pm - 7:30pm on a Thursday. Ideally candidates will have some logistics/transport driver/route planning experience.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage optimised transport routes to ensure efficient use of resources.
* Coordinate with the warehouse, drivers, customer service and sales teams to ensure seamless planning and delivery.
* Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, road conditions, and other variables.
* Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
* Complete and print load plans and manifest and communicate these.
* Communicate with drivers and other team members to ensure any issues are resolved promptly.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Good organisational skills, able to multi-task.
* Ability to communicate instructions effectively verbally and in writing.
* Good decision-making skills.

* Customer-focused and commercially minded.
* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and listening skills.
* Strong communication skills.
