Overview:
As a Guest Services Assistant, you will be at the heart of our guest experience, ensuring every visitor receives a warm welcome and seamless service throughout their stay. Your role will involve a mix of front desk responsibilities, guest communication, booking coordination, and supporting the wider team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
This is a varied role that requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Whether greeting guests, handling enquiries, or assisting with bookings, your positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction will make all the difference.
Your primary workplace will be the reception building at The Ultimate Adventure Centre—the central hub and first point of contact for every guest’s adventure with us.
Responsible to: The Assistant General Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet and welcome all guests with a warm and professional attitude.
2. Manage bookings, reservations, and enquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
3. Process payments and issue receipts via the relevant booking platforms.
4. Provide guests with information about activities, safety procedures, and centre facilities.
5. Support the coordination of adventure activities by liaising with instructors and team leaders.
6. Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues in a proactive and professional manner.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception and front-of-house area.
8. Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
9. Promote upcoming events, packages, and special offers to guests.
10. Support other departments in delivery or administrative tasks.
11. Collate public bookings data to share at weekly review meetings.
12. Manage office stationery stock and communicate when items need to be replenished.
Working hours are:
Peak times (Easter - October) - Friday 12.30pm - 9pm, Saturday & Sunday 8.30am - 5.30pm, Monday 8.30am - 12.30pm. 28 hours per week.
Entry requirements
GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and English (or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
