The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a journey to transform the Careers and Employability Service and be pivotal to that change in an exciting new Student Futures Directorate. The Directorate is part of the DSS working across Keele Institute for Innovation & Teaching Excellence (KIITE) and is made up of Careers & Employability, Global Opportunities and Placements & Project teams
The successful candidate will need to be accountable, responsible, leading and driving forward change using data informed developments within continuous improvement cycles. There will be an expectation to fashion provision to the student journey across a range of functions to build insights, support development, utilise technologies to provide access to opportunities pre & post-graduation through targeted relationships with employers building strong talent pipelines for future markets.
We need a leader who is strategic, will identify & assess needs to generate new ideas, forward plan, feeding into the overall strategy, cascading to staff and peers across functions from discussions with the senior leadership teams.
They will need to lead as part of the management team, develop & understand all aspects of employability, student journey lifecycles, employer and academic needs and their relationships with graduate skills, the wider metrics, making recommendations to fashion policy and operational developments.
Progress on development, engagement, impact will need to be reported on and used to inform changes.
With the overarching purpose to advance the graduate prospects of our students, supporting their success taking the approach that by building a one Service approach across Student Futures we are best placed to achieve this.
