On behalf of our partner school, Tradewind are looking to appoint an experienced Primary teacher to deliver interventions across KS2 in a two-form entry school in Tameside. This is full-time class teacher post which will commence November 2024 and will run until at least May with the possibility of an extension until the end of the academic year. This position comes with a competitive salary which will reflect your experience and suitability. Regrettably, the school are unable to consider ECT's for this position.
This is a 'Good' rated school that delivers a rich curriculum that engages and inspires pupils within a safe, inclusive environment. Experience of teaching in Key 2 is essential as is a thorough up-to-date knowledge and experience of the curriculum. What is also important is your ability to interact and support children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning and to have the skills and maturity required to take on the teaching duties and responsibilities in a new school.
About the Role
This is a full time role which heavily focuses on delivering targeted interventions to pupils not meeting age related expectations.
As a teacher joining the KS2 department, your responsibilities will include:
Attaining the highest standards of teaching and learning across KS2
Delivering targeted interventions in both literacy and numeracy to address missed content, bridge gaps in learning and accelerate pupil progress
Communicate effectively with class teachers across KS2 to discuss individual pupil needs
Create targeted intervention plans and evaluate their success in relation to targets set
Keep up to date records of assessment based on verbal and written feedback and reflect on when and what to reteach without disrupting the pace of curriculum content to be taught.
Work well independently as well as part of the KS2 team and be open to new ideas as well as sharing knowledge of you own expertise area
Use modern technology to enhance learning opportunities
As part of the KS2 team, you will have full access to a range of CPD opportunities and be fully supported in your role. The school is fully resourced and utilises Chromebooks and IPADS to enhance learning opportunities. It has convenient transport links to wider areas of Manchester and benefits from a secure car park with spaces available for all members of staff.
Essential requirements:
QTS Certification (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
A minimum of 2 Years teaching experience teaching in a KS2 setting
Demonstrated success in KS2 with excellent references to support your previous experience
Provide a CV with 10 years employment history and explanations of any CV gaps
Be subject to an enhanced DBS check and Overseas Police Check (if applicable).
