As an experienced Graphic Designer, you will work on a variety of activities such as: advertising, books, magazines, posters, product packaging, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity, ie. giving organisations a visual brand.
You will work to a brief agreed with the client, the Head of Creative or Account Manager(s), and will develop appropriate creative ideas, concepts and collateral for the client’s objectives to the highest quality and standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Meeting Head of Creative or Account Manager to discuss client objectives, brief and requirements for the project, advising them with regard to design style, format, print production and timescales
2. Estimating the time required and providing quotes to complete a project or task
3. Preparing rough drafts/visuals of collateral based on the brief
4. Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements, if required
5. Presenting finalised ideas and high-quality concepts to the client, Head of Creative or Account Manager
6. Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and design concepts
7. Using innovation to redefine a design brief within time and cost constraints
8. Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies
9. Proof-reading to produce accurate and high-quality work
10. Working as part of a creative team with other designers, account managers, web developers and marketing specialists
Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
1. Proven Graphic Design/Agency experience plus a Degree or similar in Graphic Design
2. Familiarity with design software such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop – Word and PowerPoint experience is a bonus. Open to working with new AI technologies
3. A keen eye for aesthetics and detail
4. Exceptional creativity and innovation, passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair
5. Excellent planning and organisational skills
6. An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment
7. A professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
8. A flexible approach when working in a team
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interpret and negotiate briefs with the creative manager or account manager
10. Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to creative colleagues and the account manager
11. Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at once
12. Responding to constructive feedback and making the necessary alterations to your designs
