Job Title: Duty Manager Location: The Pinnacle Bouldering Centre and Clip ‘n’ Climb Northampton, Weston Favell Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experience Perks: 28 days holiday Free climbing access Exclusive staff discounts Role Overview: As Duty Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations at The Pinnacle Bouldering Centre and Clip ‘n’ Climb Northampton, ensuring a high standard of customer service, safety, and efficiency. You’ll lead a team, manage activities, and ensure everything runs smoothly during your shifts. If you’re interested in climbing, customer service and leadership, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities: Operations: Open/close the centre, keeping it clean, safe, and ready for customers. Oversee daily operations, bookings, and events. Conduct regular safety checks and address maintenance issues promptly. Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, handle bookings, and resolve any customer issues. Gather feedback to improve services. Team Management: Supervise instructors, reception staff, and café assistants. Train new staff and lead pre-shift briefings to ensure smooth operations. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety protocols. Oversee climbing equipment checks Event & Session Management: Manage climbing sessions, group bookings, and events, ensuring they run on time. Promote courses and memberships to customers. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and stock. Assist the Centre Manager with stock control, reporting, and staff scheduling. Assist with Marketing including social media. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in a duty manager or supervisory role (leisure/climbing industry preferred). Strong customer service, communication, and leadership skills. Interested in climbing. Bonus Skills: Experience in climbing instruction (CWI/CWDI/RCI preferred).
