About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves producing accurate financial reports, providing analysis to support business decision-making, and overseeing the management of financial performance within the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
1. Monthly Management Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. This includes profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
2. Variance Analysis: Perform detailed variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures, identifying and explaining key financial trends and discrepancies. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans. Track performance against budgets and forecasts and suggest corrective actions as necessary.
4. Financial Modelling & Business Case Support: Support senior management in creating financial models and evaluating business cases for new projects, investments, and commercial decisions.
5. Cost Control: Analyse cost structures and assist with the identification and implementation of cost-saving measures across the business.
6. Collaboration with Business Units: Work closely with operational teams to understand financial performance, provide guidance on financial matters, and promote financial awareness across the organization.
7. Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance financial processes and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
8. Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing required information and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Essential Requirements
1. Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
2. Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP systems
3. Experience in Finance Business Partnering
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
5. Problem-solving aptitude
6. Creative and dynamic – think outside the box, challenge the norm.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business
8. Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders across the business
Location & Commitments
Hybrid Working (3 days office, 2 days remote) and flexibility depending on requirements of the business.
