Grantham or Wakefield Divisional Fleet Manager (Power & Group) Your New Role As Divisional Fleet Manager for Power and Group, you will be responsible for ensuring continued s afe, c ompliant and efficient transport operations throughout the two business areas. Primary responsibilities include p rocurement, in-life management, disposal and all functions pertaining to fleet activities, including manage ment of costs and maximising profits. Principal Accountabilities: Fleet management of 300 vehicles in the Power & Group business areas. Management of Operator’s Licence(s) and named as CPC holder on relevant Operator Licence(s). Strong Understanding of DVSA / OTC /DfT regulations and requirements. Service planning, scheduling and continual review. Compliance with transport legislation and transport safety legislation (drivers and vehicles). Contractor maintenance. Management, retention, and recruitment of workshop mechanics and fleet team members. Effective, appropriate liaison with all levels of stakeholders including colleagues, senior management, contractors, and clients. Contribution to the Fleet and Road Risk strategy. Creation of reports/KPI’s pertaining to driver and vehicle performance. Working closely with managers and teams to develop strategies for improved cost efficiency. Effective communication with insurance brokers/underwriters to organise the appropriate insurance for drivers and vehicles. Assisting with the drafting and implementation of effective policies and processes pertaining to fleet operations. Managing strict vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to minimise downtime. Monitoring driver behaviours and working with the relevant management teams to ensure suitable remedial and corrective actions are implemented effectively i.e. toolbox talks, seasons briefings, stand downs, inductions etc. Maintaining accurate and detailed records pertaining to drivers and vehicles M onitoring fleet costs and ensuring that they remain within business expectations. Effective line management of a small team of Fleet Coordinators, regularly providing constructive feedback, supporting their personal development to enable high performance. About You Essential Qualifications/Skills/Experience Relevant CPC qualification in Road Transport and to be named as CPC holder on relevant Operator Licence(s) (CPC or exemption certificate) In-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience of working with specialist vehicles used across the Power business. Of good repute pertaining to O perator’s Licencing Demonstrable experience as a Fleet/Transport Manager Commercial awareness.
