Process Simplification & Automation Architect - Contract Role
My client, a leading energy firm, is seeking an experienced Process Simplification & Automation Architect for a 9-month contract role. This role offers the opportunity to drive process simplification, efficiency improvements, and innovation across multiple business units.
Responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work with stakeholders to define and execute the strategy for process simplification and efficiency improvements.
o Build relationships with senior business unit stakeholders to ensure technology alignment and support business transformation.
o Develop roadmaps to support decision-making and identify risks in architectural decisions.
o Influence business change programmes and ensure they align with global strategies.
2. Roadmap Development and Execution:
o Collaborate with Engineering & Automation teams to develop and execute the process simplification and automation roadmap.
o Provide strategic guidance on technology solutions, ensuring they align with organisational strategies.
o Develop and manage Business Unit Technology Roadmaps and ensure adoption of emerging technologies.
o Lead relationships with strategic partners and oversee platforms within reference architecture.
3. Delivery:
o Design and implement the automation roadmap for back-office processes, ensuring business value is prioritised.
o Ensure the security and compliance of data processing and automation with established standards and policies.
4. Innovation and Emerging Technologies:
o Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and assess their impact on the business.
o Provide thought leadership and guidance on technology adoption and drive innovation.
o Contribute to the Innovation Community of Practice through input on Business Unit opportunities.
5. Governance and Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security policies across projects.
o Refine and enforce architectural governance processes to ensure consistency across all platforms.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in process simplification, automation, and architecture design.
* Strong ability to develop and execute technology roadmaps, engaging with senior stakeholders across business units.
* Expertise in emerging technologies and evaluating their feasibility for adoption.
* Solid experience in ensuring compliance with industry standards and security policies.
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence business change strategies.
