We have vacancies in our Clinic Prep Team
Clinic Prep
This role would involve working as part of a team to ensure that the notes required for outpatient attendances and inpatient episodes are prepped and made ready in time for the patient’s attendance. The majority of the time it will be desk based; however, there is a requirement for staff to retrieve notes from filing units to enable them to prepare them for clinics.
The post holder would be expected to use the Trust’s Patient Administration System (PAS) SEMA, within all areas of Health Records and Patient Access; this will require extensive use of a VDU and keyboard skills daily. Responsibilities include:
1. Receive, sort, and deliver patient records to all wards and departments, including peripheral buildings as instructed by the Medical Records Supervisor.
2. Provide a comprehensive day-to-day health library service.
3. Meet performance standards specific to the area they are working in.
4. Ensure confidentiality guidelines are strictly adhered to when handling patient information.
5. Work within the Trust’s Health & Safety policy at all times.
This role will entail retrieving notes from the filing libraries and filing them back in numerical order, which may require the use of ladders or step stools (full training will be provided). The use of a PC using the Trust’s Patient Administration System will form part of the daily requirements. It is important to be able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
