Role Responsibilities:
As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and leading the Occupational Therapy Service across both CAMHS and adult services. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Using evidence-based, patient-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions.
* Overseeing the implementation of individual treatment plans, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among the Occupational Therapy team.
* Collaborating with a mix of clinicians, managers, directors, and families to ensure alignment.
* Leading and supporting junior staff, including assistants, with kindness and care.
* Helping to set up and manage placements for occupational therapy students.
* Assisting junior staff with their appraisals and personal development plans.
* Creating and implementing policies, protocols, and care pathways.
To Shine as an Occupational Therapist, You’ll Need:
* A qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
* Hands-on experience working with adults after qualifying.
* A solid background in using various occupational therapy approaches.
* Strong clinical reasoning skills.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.
