We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriter Assistant to join our dynamic team of a global leading provider of travel insurance. As an Underwriter Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and technical support to the underwriting team in evaluating, processing, and managing travel insurance policies. Responsibilities:
* Policy Support: Assist underwriters in reviewing travel insurance applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information provided.
* Risk Assessment Assistance: Help in evaluating risk profiles for travel insurance policies, gathering data on individual travel history, health status, and other pertinent information.
* Data Entry & Documentation: Enter and maintain accurate records in the underwriting system, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with internal processes.
* Customer Liaison: Handle communication with clients, brokers, and agents to gather additional information required for underwriting, clarifying any queries related to the policy.
* Claims Processing Assistance: Support the underwriting team in reviewing travel claims, ensuring they meet the necessary criteria and assisting with claim documentation.
* Reporting: Assist in preparing and maintaining reports on policy issuance, renewals, and underwriting activities.
* Compliance: Ensure all underwriting activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
* General Administrative Support: Provide general support to the underwriting team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining department files.
Requirements:
* Language: MUST HAVE Native French speaker and English
* Education: A degree or diploma in insurance, business, or a related field is an advantage.
* Experience: Some experience in the insurance industry or administrative roles is preferred but not essential. Travel insurance experience is a plus.
Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
