Salary: Unqualified Senior: £13.25 per hour Experienced (with relevant qualifications): £13.50 per hour Qualified Senior: £14.00 per hour Role Overview: As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in the care and support of young people in a residential setting. You will lead by example, support the team with the delivery of high-quality care, and ensure that the young people in your care are supported to achieve positive outcomes in their lives. This role is perfect for those with experience in the care sector who are looking to take the next step in their career. Responsibilities: Leading and supervising a team of support workers. Assisting with the planning and delivery of care, education, and development programs. Providing emotional and practical support to the young people in our care. Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a nurturing, safe environment. Liaising with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each child. Ensuring that safeguarding procedures are followed at all times. What We’re Looking For: Experience working in residential childcare (preferred). A passion for working with young people and making a difference. Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships. An understanding of the challenges children and young people face in care. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Ideally, a relevant qualification (Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent), though this is not essential for the unqualified senior role.
