Job Description:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Barnstaple. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, helping them to access learning in a structured and engaging way.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities that cater to the individual needs of students.
* Support students' emotional and social development, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
* Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Monitor and record student progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to individual learning plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' learning and well-being.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
