The post would involve supporting a pupil in and out of the classroom under the close supervision and direction of the teacher and SENDCo. Support would be to build a relationship, keeping pupil 'on task’ and accessing a curriculum that meets their needs.
Line Manager : Class Teacher/ SEND Co-ordinator
To work under the direction/guidance of the class teacher/SEND Co-ordinator to support identified pupil to access the curriculum in the most effective way, appropriate to their needs and understanding.
To assist in the delivery and provision of needs outlined in an EHCP if applicable and to any other professional report.
To assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment.
To promote the inclusion of all pupils.
Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area with individual pupils or small groups as appropriate.
To promote the love of learning.
