Carbon60 are currently looking for a Customer Operations Advisor to join a client of ours based on the Croda Europe site in Goole. This position is a 6 month temporary role, and we are looking for someone to start by the 9th December.
Our client is a large engineering company that has over 170 sites across the UK and Ireland. They specialize in many different engineering services, one of which they provide engineering services to their clients. To do this, our client often bases themselves on their customer sites, which is what they have done in this instance.
Working Hours/Shift Pattern:
8:00-16:30 Monday - Friday, 30 mins lunch, 2x 15 min breaks unpaid, 37.5 hours/week - No overtime available
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Office administration
2. Using MRP - Ordering stock for stores
3. Raising purchase orders on ERIKS and customer ordering systems (EOS and SAP)
4. Completing H&S Reports (done weekly)
5. Purchase management - expediting and chasing orders and due dates for supplies
6. Website calls via SAP related to overdue or problematic invoices
7. Obtaining quotes for stock from different vendors, assessing pricing and delivery for best possible supply
8. Order supplies for site for anything ad-hoc. Contacting different vendors and negotiating best timeline and price as possible
9. Amending quote errors on documentation - e.g. price changing
10. Updating quarantine logs
11. Filing of paperwork
12. Label creating - label machine attached to laptop used for stock-related duties
13. Raising new data on the system for updated machinery components
14. Completing monthly safety report cards
15. Responding to email queries
Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
1. Excellent organizational skills required - essential to succeed in this role
2. Basic IT Literacy skills - highly competent with data entry and answering emails etc.
3. Good communication skills - comfortable speaking with the suppliers/vendors on the phone and with engineers on site in person
4. Able to cope with a fast-paced and at times demanding working environment
5. Excellent motivation to learn and succeed with any training provided in the role
6. Experience using SAP systems for data management preferable but not essential
7. No specific education/experience/background essential if they are organized and have foundational skill set
