We have full-time and part-time opportunities for Band 6 cross sectional Radiographers to join our radiographic workforce at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The roles are fixed term for 12 months from March 2025.
Radiographers will work to our 24/7 shift system model, which includes long days allowing for some days off in the week.
We are fully equipped with 6 CT scanners, 3 MRI scanners, 10 DR mobiles, and 10 DR general rooms.
Work has started to build a new bespoke interventional suite on the Watford site, which will vastly improve our fluoroscopy services and offer exciting role development opportunities.
Our Community Diagnostic Centre in St Albans is progressing, with works starting imminently. This will include an additional CT, MRI, and plain film imaging.
Main duties of the job
The duties and responsibilities of the post holder include:
* Being an effective member of the Radiology team, providing a high standard of imaging services to Radiologists and patients.
* Mentoring junior staff and students.
* Completing and recording QA testing.
* Following IRMER17 regulations whilst undertaking radiology examinations to a high standard.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications:
* Either DCR(R) or BSc Diagnostic Radiography.
* Evidence of up-to-date CPD.
* HCPC registration.
* PgD in a cross-sectional modality.
* MRI Safety course.
Knowledge:
* Good knowledge of adaptive techniques.
* Aware of current trends relevant to the profession.
* Knowledge of clinical governance process and policy related to clinical area.
Experience:
* Post qualification experience across a range of modalities.
* Wide range of experience in CT/MRI.
* NHS experience.

Salary: £39,205 to £47,084 a year inc HCA pro rata
