Maintenance Supervisor – (Electrical & Instrumentation) Salary: £55,000 - £59,000 benefits package Location: Confidential (East Yorkshire Region) Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday Contract: Permanent We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor with a strong Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) background. This is a hands-on role that requires a solid foundation in instrumentation, with relevant qualifications and experience essential for success. Key Responsibilities: As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will: Lead a team of 11 maintenance technicians and 2 planners to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of plant equipment. Work closely with the Planning and Scheduling team to coordinate and deliver planned maintenance activities while minimizing equipment downtime. Oversee the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring all maintenance work is completed to high safety and quality standards. Monitor and manage maintenance backlogs, ensuring the timely completion of work orders and adherence to safety protocols. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and site-specific safety regulations, particularly in a COMAH environment. Supervise subcontractors and other external resources, ensuring their work is integrated into the broader maintenance plan and adheres to site standards. Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team, ensuring continuous improvement in maintenance processes and personnel development. Lead the development and review of maintenance procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and align with site requirements. Manage team availability, including absence and holiday tracking, ensuring adequate coverage for ongoing maintenance activities. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have: Hands-on experience in instrumentation, with relevant qualifications in this field. Proven leadership experience within a maintenance team, ideally in an industrial or heavy engineering environment. Experience with CMMS systems to plan, execute, and record maintenance activities. Knowledge of maintenance strategies and compliance in a safety-critical environment. HNC/HND in Engineering (desirable) and exposure to upper-tier COMAH sites. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent experience) to ensure a high standard of health and safety practices.
