Job title: Manufacturing Plant & Equipment Project Delivery Manager
Location: Samlesbury/Warton
Salary: £64,000+ dependant on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
* You will take responsibility for a team of Team Leaders and Project Engineers who deliver Production related equipment projects from concept to completion within specific timescales and budgets, working in conjunction with internal stakeholders from areas such as Production, Engineering, Quality, Facilities Management (Infrastructure), Safety, Procurement; and external Suppliers, sub-contractors, and other governance bodies.
* It is key you ensure that appropriate process governance is applied to projects that deliver Plant and Equipment to manufacture Aerospace components. Authorisation of facility specifications that have been compiled by Engineers working with internal customers adequately capturing the requirements, approving potential solutions, authorisation of Business cases, ensuring projects can deliver requirements benefits, to budget, and schedule.
* This role will require you to ensure effective communication and engagement at all levels within the organisation, in particular with internal customers.
* You will ensure that the team delivers projects in a timely manner, and are accountable for cost management, and reporting progress to Senior Management and customers.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Working/Worked in a discipline related to mechanical or electrical engineering and have experience in the project guidance of Production related equipment in such areas Machining, Fabrications, Non-Destructive testing, Additive Layer Manufacturing, component treatment and finishing (i.e., Chemical processing, spraying).
* Working experience of delivering equipment projects, within a manufacturing production environment whilst managing Quality/Deliverables, time, cost, schedule.
* Experience of managing a team of Project Engineers, and reporting on Project progress.
* HNC or HND qualification (or similar) with an Engineering Discipline.
Desirable:
* Experience of working within an automated manufacturing production environment, ideally within Aerospace.
* Experience of working within a heavily regulated industry.

The Project Delivery Team:
As a part of Project Delivery Team, you will assist in identifying the customer requirements, expanding those into detailed specifications, working in conjunction with relevant functional governance to establish the most cost-effective solution, working with the Supply base. You then establish the Project Plan (Time, Cost and Benefits) to facilitate a business case, and then deliver the solution, and ensure that the supplied equipment delivers the required solution.
