LEGIONELLA RISK ASSESSOR, East Midlands

As our company grows and develops, we are expanding our teams. We are looking for a driven, dependable, and flexible Legionella Risk Assessor to join our Water Hygiene Team. You must be able to work efficiently as part of a team and independently. Due to the nature of the job, travelling will be part of your daily role. Primarily, your role will be to undertake risk assessments, written scheme audits, and internal quality checks.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
1. Legionella risk assessment of water systems
2. Audits of management and planned preventative monitoring regimes
3. Carry out general water hygiene tasks, such as water outlet flushing, temperature checks, and sampling.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
1. City & Guilds qualification in Legionella risk assessment
2. Working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS:8580
3. Understanding of complex water systems, including water softeners, vehicle washes, and industrial processes
4. Understanding of written scheme of control audits
5. A strong ability to communicate with clients
6. Competent report writing skills
7. Computer software usage (i.e., Word & Excel)
8. Ability to pass Enhanced DBS and MOD security clearance checks
About Water Hygiene:
Our Water Hygiene Team is divided into two main areas: Water Hygiene and Legionella Risk Assessment. Our Water Hygiene Assessors ensure water systems comply with regulations, conducting tank cleans, disinfections, water temperature monitoring, shower descaling, water sampling, and TMV (thermostatic mixing valve) servicing. Our Legionella team ensures the safety of water content through risk assessments, written scheme audits, and internal quality checks, ensuring our clients are not using harmful water supplies.
