Occupational Therapist - West Kent North Community Team
Role Responsibility
At Kent County Council, Occupational Therapy is viewed as a critical service in enabling people to live their lives in the way that most matters to them. Our community Occupational Therapy Teams are co-located with our in-house enablement services and short-term pathways teams and work alongside our Community Social Work teams. This gives us the opportunity to work in a co-ordinated, preventative, and creative way to maximise people’s independence.
We currently have a full time opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our West Kent North Community team. We offer an excellent induction and ongoing training package, to facilitate you to develop your expertise within moving and handling, enablement techniques, specialist equipment and major adaptations, thus ensuring that the people we support receive high quality, personalised interventions that genuinely improve lives. You will receive regular individual supervision from a registered Occupational Therapy Lead and a tailored personal development plan to enable you to develop your career pathway within Kent and be the best that you can be.
Kent County Council is committed to flexible and hybrid working opportunities and although we complete our assessments and interventions within a person’s own residence or short-term assessment bed setting, our Occupational Therapists work their non-clinical time between an office base and/or their home.
