Are you a passionate communicator looking to make a positive impact on the lives of students? The University of Brighton is seeking a talented and experienced Student Communications & Engagement Manager to lead our student communications and engagement activity.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills and a proven track record of developing and delivering successful communications and engagement strategies at complex and diverse organisations.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively challenge and influence colleagues at all levels, alongside excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks for successful outcomes.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to engage and inspire our students via a range of channels. You will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the university to ensure that our communications are relevant, engaging, and support our students' success.
Key responsibilities:
* To lead the planning, development and delivery of a rolling programme of student communications and engagement activity that supports the university’s Brighton 2030 strategy and key institutional priorities.
* To ensure the delivery of a strategic approach to student communications and engagement activity, and to work with colleagues across the university to support and enable effective, two-way communications and engagement channels so that students feel listened to and respected.
* To manage, motivate and develop student communications and engagement staff, workload planning, staff development activities and reviews.
The University of Brighton welcomes job sharers. Job sharing is a way of working where two people share one full-time job, dividing the work, responsibilities, pay, holidays, and other benefits between them proportionate to the hours each works, thereby increasing access to a wide range of jobs on a part-time basis.
In addition, to the eight Bank Holidays, there are university discretionary days between Christmas and New Year.
