About the team
The Group Procurement department is responsible for setting and managing the governance and procurement for Admiral Group, with a direct focus on supporting the UK businesses. The team is a small team, with 15 members of staff, with a focus to identify and deliver value across the supply chain. We love our work, and all have a passion to do well. Job Purpose
The role will support the Head of Group Procurement with the management and review of Supply Chain governance controls in the business and will be responsible for monitoring and reporting compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the due diligence process, credit and compliance monitoring and working with the business to ensure appropriate Supply Chain risks are managed and monitored correctly.
Main Duties
* Management of a small team with 2 direct reports.
* Acting as the point of contact for the business, whilst developing subject matter expertise for all things supply chain risk.
* Monitor compliance with the local procurement procedures to identify, report and resolve non-compliance.
* Monitoring all first-line supplier risk activities and ensuring they are captured within our core systems.
* Responsible for the due diligence process, issuing due diligence to suppliers, managing supplier responses and quality-checking due diligence.
* Responsibility for the creation of new suppliers within our Finance system.
* Monitoring high-risk suppliers and contracts.
* Support business areas in the event of an issue or risk event from the supply chain.
* Working closely with departmental managers to embed supply chain risk management, by coaching, and advising on all risk management matters.
* Liaise with key stakeholders ensuring that controls are adequately documented and risks are well understood.
* Engaging and collaborating with relevant functional areas to agree on and maintain timetables for specific reviews.
* Supporting Group Head of Procurement with monthly reporting on supplier risks for various Working Groups and Committees.
* Continuous review and improvement of supply chain risk, to identify areas of improvement to drive efficiencies and protection.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Experience within procurement with a supply chain risk, third-party risk or operational management background.
* Ideally qualified, or part qualified, Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS); or a related Risk / Finance professional body.
* Strong procurement knowledge and experience.
* Previous management experience preferable.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel/Word/PowerPoint and Agile Tools.
* Good interpersonal skills with strong communication skills.
* A determined, self-motivated and resourceful attitude.
