MCS Group is currently working with a leading independent manufacturing company that is seeking a talented IT Support Analyst to join its dynamic team. You will be responsible for: Provide first and second-level technical support to users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing and resolving hardware and software issues. Manage IT service desk requests, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents, and prioritising tasks based on urgency. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, software applications, and peripherals. Administer user accounts and manage systems such as Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise platforms. Conduct system maintenance and updates, ensuring security patches and protocols are up to date. Deliver staff training and onboarding for software applications, especially Office 365 (including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams). Escalate complex issues to senior technical teams or 3rd line support when required. Assist with network and server infrastructure, including backups, VPNs, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting. Essential Criteria: Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, preferably within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Windows-based operating systems (10/11/Server OS/M365) Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN). Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
