Title: Civil Engineer

About the role:
We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join a growing design consultancy and provide ongoing technical design support to a range of clients in the UK with ongoing work available and excellent development opportunities for the right individual.
As a Civil Engineer, you will be working on a range of residential, commercial and education projects and should be able to demonstrate experience in completing design on projects in these sectors. You will also have the opportunity to work in some industrial, hotel, sports, hospitality and leisure.
Within the role of a Civil Engineer, it will be essential for the chosen individual to complete accurate reports and designs, and your input and contribution to the team are viewed as essential in the continued development of the business. You will be given the chance to take ownership of projects, control your own workload and collaborate with senior engineers and the wider team. You will prepare technical reports, produce design solutions from initial concept through to design completion and attend client meetings and site visits.
About you:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working for UK-based design consultancies, and a background working on similar projects is desired in order to ensure a close match to the existing and upcoming workload.
In addition to having a confident, commercial and professional outlook you should have:
* Degree in Civil Engineering
* Driving licence and own vehicle
* Minimum of 2 years UK based experience
* Experience working with drainage design and flood risk assessments
* Strength in working to appropriate agreement sections - S38, S278, S104, S106
* Strong analytical, communication and technical design skills
* Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
