Site Manager
Location: Spennymoor
Employment type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £44,982 per annum, plus company car or car allowance
Working hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
About the Role:
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily site operations across multiple occupied properties. Your duties include coordinating and supervising subcontractors, trades, and direct labor to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
You will maintain clear and proactive communication with residents and client representatives, implement and monitor health and safety procedures, and ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring progress and productivity, reporting weekly to the project manager via a site reporting tool, managing snagging, handovers, and ensuring defect-free completions. You will maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, reports, quality assurance documents, permits, training records, progress photos, material deliveries, and variation records. Resolving site issues effectively while minimizing disruption to residents and programs is essential. You will also ensure safeguarding and consideration of vulnerable residents at all times.
Key Criteria:
1. UK Full driving license
2. IT literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Teams
3. SMSTS certification
4. First Aid at Work certification
5. Experience dealing with multiple contractors
All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work in the UK. Mears does not offer visa sponsorship. To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their license for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
All roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks prior to employment.
