General Practice Audit Accountant
Our client’s General Practice teams support clients at whichever stage they might be in their business lifecycle; from start-ups through to exits. Some but not all of the clients will need an annual audit. Working closely with the clients means the General Practice Audit Accountant will obtain an intimate knowledge of their operations and aspirations, looking beyond their legal and statutory obligations to provide them with effective solutions and advice to help them thrive.
The role can be based in Bristol, Bath, Yeovil or Taunton and is ideal for those looking for progression within a challenging and enjoyable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading teams on audit fieldwork
2. Reviewing workpapers and accounts files prepared by staff
3. Reviewing corporation tax returns and computations
4. Reviewing VAT returns
5. Drafting replies to client questions
Skills Required:
1. ACA/ACCA qualified or an alternative equivalent qualification
2. Minimum three years’ experience of auditing, preparing company accounts and corporation tax returns
3. Strong IT skills. Microsoft Office Word and Excel knowledge essential
4. Confident verbal and written skills with good attention to detail
5. An outgoing and effective communication style
6. Ability to work in a busy environment as a team player
7. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
8. Commercial awareness and the ability to demonstrate business acumen
9. Professionalism and self-motivation

Successful candidates will receive specific training and opportunities to develop their career.
Salary:
The salary for part qualified is £27-35k, qualified is £40-45k, negotiable depending on experience, potentially negotiable further plus benefits.
