What the role as a Mental Health Support Assistant entails:
1. You will be facilitating and providing specific interventions to aid in the children's learning
2. You will facilitate a safe and secure environment for learning to take place
3. You will encourage students to achieve the best they can academically, while also adding to their personal growth
4. You will keep track of their academic achievements
5. Have a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding
Qualities you will need to be a great Mental Health Support Assistant:
1. Being kind, caring and compassionate
2. Having a determination to make a difference in the lives of the students
3. Be patient and willing to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the students
4. Experience working with children and especially children with SEN will be advantageous but not essential
5. You will need an enhanced DBS check, but don't worry if you don't have one, we can facilitate your application
