We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill this administrative role within the Pharmacy Department. You will join and become a valued member of our NHS Highland Pharmacy Homecare team to support the everyday running and ongoing growth of the service. The service has grown significantly in the last two years. Homecare Medicines Services are supplied by third parties but managed by the NHS to deliver ongoing supplies of complex therapies and high cost drugs direct to patient’s homes along with ancillary services for example nurse support, equipment rental and waste collection. In this role you will be responsible for helping to ensure the smooth running of this service. Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills along with good time management skills. Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement environment is desirable but not essential. As part of the team, you will be in communication with the medical secretaries, the NHS Highland finance team, a number of different homecare providers and occasionally patients. You will be responsible for the timely preparation and processing of prescriptions for the different clinical teams, the processing of invoices and also providing assistance with solving invoicing queries and liaising with the different homecare providers for prescriptions enquiries.
