The salary for this permanent Speech and Language Therapist job is up to £49,119 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
* Work within a specialist clinical area as an autonomous professional with support and supervision (which may be remote) from a more senior SaLT for more complex cases
* Accept professional accountability and responsibility.
* Apply the specialist neurorehabilitation model, demonstrating knowledge of current research findings, and best practice in the field.
* Manage a caseload of People We Support with complex mental/physical health needs and/or challenging behaviour.
* Use evidence-based practice, service user centred principles and clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention.
* Undertake comprehensive assessments, considering environment, context and future plans, of People.
Requirements of the SLT:
* Use of evidence based practice and outcome measures
* Knowledge and application of Speech and Language assessments and interventions using clinical reasoning
* Knowledge of models of practice and assessment tools relevant to discipline & clinical area
* Knowledge of evidence-based practice and how to apply to clinical practice
* An ability to work autonomously and to set own and support others’ priorities
* An ability to confidently assess and manage risk in relation to physical performance
* An ability to organise, coordinate and respond efficiently to complex information
* At least one year’s experience in management of dysphagia
* Awareness of current legislation and professional ethics and their application in practice
* Competent IT skills
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to build effective working relationships
* Desirable experience of working in a relevant setting, which can include practice placements
