We can offer job plans of 10 - 12 PA's on a negotiable basis.

Main duties of the job
You will be working in a well-supported tertiary centre environment benefiting patients across our sites.
There are established pathways in place streaming select acute patient groups directly into specialised services inc. primary PCI for STEMI's, a Frail Elderly assessment unit, direct Renal, Neurology and Haematology/Oncology admissions and an Acute Stroke unit providing 24/7 thrombolysis and invasive vascular interventions.
We operate a pioneering level of 7 day Consultant cover across all medical sub-speciality departments.

58 bedded AMU at Royal Stoke and 30 bedded AMU at County
22 bedded Short Stay Unit (SSU)
14 bedded Acute Medicine Rapid Assessment Unit (AMRAU) at Royal Stoke and Medical Receiving Unit (MRU) at County

Qualifications
Essential
1. Entry on Specialist Register in Acute Internal Medicine or General Internal Medicine or entry expected within 6 months from the date of interview
2. MRCP or equivalent
Desirable
3. MD, PhD or equivalent
4. Specialty Certificate Examination in Acute Internal Medicine
Experience
Essential
5. Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining (UK) CCT in Acute Internal Medicine (AIM) or General Internal Medicine (GIM)

6. Higher training in a dedicated Acute Medicine specialty training scheme.
7. Critical Care experience

8. Experience of conducting clinical audit.

9. To have published in peer re-viewed journals.
