Developing innovative ingredients solutions for the plant-based food sector.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious R&D Technologist who is keen to progress their career. It’s a newly created role where you will be learning all about ingredients applications for the plant-based sector. Working with an expert in this field, you’ll be developing new ingredients to be used on meat alternative products. This will involve close working with leading plant-based brands and own label manufacturers for the retail market.
You will be investigating new novel ingredients and processes and learning how existing ingredients used in traditional animal protein products can be adapted for the plant-based market. It’s a hands-on role, developing formulations in the development kitchen and trialling in the pilot plant. You’ll also get out to visit customer’s manufacturing sites to trial new concepts in the factory.
The role has a clear training and development plan for the first 12 months where you’ll be mentored by an international colleague with real expertise in this area. You’ll then support the UK R&D team as the project lead for plant-based ingredients.
To succeed here, you’ll need to have a Food Science degree and have commenced your career in an R&D role in the food or ingredients sector. It’s an ideal role if you are keen to join an ambitious and progressive food business with a global reach and fantastic career development opportunities.
It’s a Monday-Friday days-based role at the R&D centre with some travel as required to customers. Ideally, you’ll have a UK driving licence and permanent right to work in the UK.
