Leader Education is recruiting a Behaviour Support Worker to work within a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) school based in Ashington, Northumberland. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and supporting in a classroom environment, along with a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.
At Leader Education, the normal working pattern is Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or be willing to obtain one
2. Possess Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or other relevant qualifications (desirable)
3. Have effective behaviour management strategies
4. Monitor and manage students' behaviour and wellbeing
5. Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet students' needs
6. Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCPs
7. Have previous experience working with primary and secondary-aged students in an educational setting
