Take a closer look at the role: Job description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team at the facility in Silverstone. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of both incoming materials and in-process components, ensuring they meet rigorous quality standards. Your keen eye for detail and dedication to quality will contribute directly to the overall success of our operations. What you will be doing: Lead and perform detailed dimensional inspections using Polyworks, PC-DMIS software, utilising Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), Portable Arms and Trackers to verify product specifications. Support manufacturing in there ability to perform in-process inspections to ensure components meet design and manufacturing standards. Thorough knowledge and understanding of QRS system to document inspection findings and communicate results to relevant team members. Assist in the maintenance of quality control documentation and records. Work closely with the Quality Control Inspection Manager and other departments to address quality issues. Assist in implementing quality improvement initiatives. Ensure that all inspection tools and equipment are properly calibrated and in working order to maintain measurement accuracy. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing inspections. Requirements Previous experience in a quality control role, preferably in motorsport or aerospace industries, both composite and Metallic. Thorough understanding of metrology software Polyworks and Pcdmis, including offline programming. Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices. Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience with inspection tools and quality measurement equipment, including software Polyworks and Pcdmis. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or irregularities and prepare detailed reports that include dimensional analysis, non-conformance reports (NCRs). Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying findings to team members. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality assurance. Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards.
