Level 1 SOC / Helpdesk Engineer
We are looking for a couple of dedicated and motivated Level 1 SOC (Security Operations) / Helpdesk Engineers to join our Clients team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing security operations centre, where you will support in managing security incidents and tickets, helping to maintain the safety and efficiency of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Shift Work: Work a variety of shifts throughout the week (Monday-Friday), with the potential for up to 12-hour shifts, including overnight shifts.
* Ticket Management: Primarily handling security tickets raised from our Clients SOC monitoring tools. You may also be asked to cover normal helpdesk tickets as an overspill from other areas when needed.
* SIEM Training: Comprehensive training will be provided on our SIEM solution, with the expectation to adjust rules to mitigate false alarms as required.
Essential Requirements:
* Location: Must be based in Cardiff or Wales, with the ability to be in the office for any daytime shifts.
* Availability: Flexibility for shift work, including potential overnight hours.
