Hours: 36 hours per week. To include weekend, day, and occasional night shifts.
Salary: £21,474.58 per annum.

St David’s Hospice is a local charity providing specialist care for adults with life-limiting illnesses or in need of end-of-life care, as well as support for their families. Each year, we impact the lives of over 1,000 people across Conwy, Gwynedd, and Anglesey.
Our services include 24/7 care, Day Therapy Centres offering patient care and bereavement support, and Inpatient Units in Llandudno and Holyhead providing symptom control, respite, and end-of-life care.

Description: Are you passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care for patients with complex palliative needs? St David’s Hospice is seeking dedicated Health Care Support Workers to join our team, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients and their families during challenging times.
We are looking for someone who will:
Provide personal care, ensuring patients’ hygiene, nutrition, and comfort.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, offering emotional support.
Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the nursing team.
Support patients at the end of life with dignity and compassion.
Maintain accurate care records and adhere to strict confidentiality.
Have empathy for the Hospice, and alignment with the charity’s values.
To do the role you'll need:
Essential:
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Experience in a care setting, with empathy for palliative care needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work day and night shifts.
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 (or willingness to work towards it).
Experience in palliative care.
Phlebotomy skills or Welsh-speaking abilities.
