As part of this, we are looking for people with a strong background in Systems Design & Integration.
Our Systems Design Integration engineers are responsible for and have knowledge in: problem resolution, defining requirements, designing and integrating products, physical & functional systems & product systems, performing technical analysis, and verifying products, physical & functional systems and components throughout the product lifecycle.

What you'll be doing:
* Apply understanding of NSRP and wider Nuclear product operation, product systems, sub-systems and interactions. Integrate and manage interfaces.
* Design of systems using Systems Engineering principles including the use of Robust Design tools & techniques to achieve optimum solutions at product and sub-system level.
* Applying knowledge of the importance of determining, managing & flowing system level requirements.
* Planning and management of product change, design technical approval, and technical investigations.
* Verifying that the system meets the requirements and ownership of standardisation reports.
* Good inter-personal and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with and influence all levels including the customer.
* Work with and co-ordinate extended (i.e. not necessarily co-located) multi-disciplinary teams.
Who we are looking for:
* Bachelor's degree or master's in engineering or regional equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience.
* Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies and an understanding of cross-discipline engineering concepts including manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analysis, cost engineering, and product definition.
* An ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters.
* Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks.
* Good communication, presentation skills, and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Membership of a relevant professional body appropriate to region. In the UK - attained/working towards Chartered status is preferred (and equivalent regional variations).
To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
