The successful applicant will be an integral part of the team working alongside a Registered Nurse or Hospice Paramedic and volunteers. Every day will be different. The role involves working long days and nights over a 7-day week.
Responsibilities
As a nursing assistant, you will:
* Support patients and their families.
* Engage in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) and maintain the utmost confidentiality.
* Adhere to the organisational policies and procedures.
Personal Specification
* NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care, or NVQ 2 with willingness to work towards level 3
* Experience of working in a healthcare setting
* A good understanding of the needs of patients and those important to them in palliative care.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and be confident to work as directed by seniors on your own.
