Your Role An opportunity has arisen for an Operations & Milling Support Leader in Tilbury, Essex. Being part of a senior team that manages and controls milling operations at Tilbury Mill, with cross-functional responsibilities for milling maintenance the role holder will manage an effective, efficient and safe manufacturing operation, producing finished products that fulfil the needs of our customers at least cost and maximum return within the Company operating objectives. Your Responsibilities Work within the companies Safety and Health guidelines and promote the companies Safety and Health policy. As part of the site management team: Plan, control and coordinate all production operations at least cost, consistent with quality and food safety demands. Ensure Site hygiene standards are maintained, form part of the site HACCP team. Ensure and support the ongoing training programmes of relevant employees. Monitor and report Mill efficiencies against KPI’s. Work alongside milling teams to identify bottlenecks in the mill and engineer out using best milling practise. Investigate inefficiencies in current milling systems and liaise with engineering/milling team to find and implement solutions. Lead and support root-cause analysis process across site functions regarding failures and implementation of countermeasures. Coordinate the maintenance program as part of a structured milling maintenance plan, analyze performance of key milling machinery and use this information to assist with structured plan of works for problem areas. Provide technical assistance to engineering team, including training engineering staff on technical aspects of milling plant to aid with planned maintenance and problem solving. Your Profile The candidate must hold a recognized engineering qualification with time served electrical and mechanical knowledge or ideally degree level in field of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Production Manufacturing, or another related field. Demonstrable experience preferably in a food, feed or chemical production environment. Advanced NABIM qualification or above. People management skills. HACCP trained. IPM trained. Strong problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills, with a results focused approach. Strong production / maintenance planning background. Proficient in asset management techniques. Good knowledge of Microsoft applications & asset management software. Strong communications skills and an excellent team player.
